In a year of cancelled sporting events, Nike continues its big push into Chinese Esports, airing a first commercial fully dedicated to Esports, ahead of the LoL World Championship in Shanghai. In the ad, aspiring pro gamers join a special bootcamp to train in everything but gaming (physical, mental, nutrition), conveying the message that strengthening their bodies and minds can take their game to the next level. Nike also released a short web documentary detailing the impact that long hours of training may have on players' health.
