Porsche's first concept car designed purely for a video game. Built with Polyphony Digital for Gran Turismo 7, the Vision Gran Turismo is an all-electric single-seater that never needs to pass crash tests or homologation, which is exactly the point: Style Porsche got to design a car with no physical constraints, then hand it to players on PlayStation on launch day. The brand's stated aim was to meet young, digital audiences 'in the place where their automotive dreams are born', and the project fits a long line of manufacturers using Gran Turismo as a design studio in public. The difference here is that Porsche treated the game not as a media placement but as a product launch, with the same design leadership and storytelling it gives a road car.
