When Fortnite announced a special mode allowing players to join either Team Burger or Pizza, and that virtual burgers were stored in freezers, Wendy's saw the opportunity to spread one of its key message: never-frozen beef. The fast food brand went on a battle to destroy all virtual freezers, not players. It became such a thing to do in the game, that Fortnite eventually decided to remove all freezers.
